BIOGRAPHY

Dr Evangelatos is a Rheumatologist and Director of the Rheumatology Department at HOSPITALity General Clinic. He holds a PhD with distinction and is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. He also holds an MSc in "Metabolic Bone Diseases" from the same institution.

He specialized in Rheumatology at leading Greek hospitals, including Laiko General Hospital of Athens, NIMTS, Hippokration General Hospital of Athens and Hygeia Hospital. He also trained at Akershus University Hospital and Martina Hansen Hospital in Oslo, Norway. He is certified by the Greek Ministry of Health to perform rheumatology ultrasound, following six months of advanced training at Hippokration General Hospital of Thessaloniki.

He has served as a Scientific Associate at the 3rd Department of Internal Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, at Sotiria General Hospital of Athens.

Dr Evangelatos regularly participates as a speaker or chair in international and Greek conferences and has active research work, with 53 publications in leading international rheumatology journals and 44 presentations at international and Greek conferences.

He has received scholarships from the Hellenic Society for Rheumatology, the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR), the Emerging EULAR Network (EMEUNET) and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO).

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the international scientific journals Therapeutic Advances in Musculoskeletal Diseases and Mediterranean Journal of Rheumatology and has served as a peer reviewer for several international scientific journals.
